About Susan

Susan has been involved in tennis as both a top-ranked player and coach for over forty years. She has achieved provincial and national rankings in the junior, open and senior categories, including winning the title of Canadian Women's Open Singles Champion in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Susan is also a former member of Canada's Federation Cup Team and is the current National Women's 50 Singles Champion. As a Teaching Professional, Susan is a Tennis Canada Certified Level 3 Coach. Her coaching methodology is based on the "Actions Method", a leading edge teaching system pioneered in Canada and highly regarded in the world tennis community. Susan was the Head Tennis Pro at the Glenmore Club in Calgary for five years and then moved to Ottawa for four years, where she was Director of Tennis at the Ottawa Athletic Club. Born and raised on Vancouver's North Shore, Susan was happy to return to Vancouver in 2000, and now works as the Assistant Tennis Pro at West Vancouver Tennis Club and as a Provincial Coach for B.C.'s National Junior Teams. Susan enjoys working with players of all ages and ability levels; her experience allows her to relate well to both high performance and recreational level players.
